Wagner Dental in Beaudesert is welcoming a new family of owners in Marcel and Bruno Muller as they take over the surgery later this month.
Marcel and Bruno, both dentists, are looking forward to joining Jonathan and serving the community’s dental needs.
“It will remain as a family business but the ‘family’ will be different,” Marcel Muller said.
The brothers will take ownership of Wagner Dental and start working at the surgery on October 22.
“As the new owners, we’re excited to serve and get to know the community through our practice,” Dr Muller said.
After working with his dad for the past nine years, Dr Michael Wagner is moving interstate with his family.
“It’s been a privilege to be a part of the local community,” Dr Wagner said.
“It has been a real blessing getting to know them and I feel I’ve made many friends along the way.
“I’m happy to know my patients will be in great hands with dental brothers Marcel and Bruno.”
Patients comes first at surgery
T will be “business as usual” when brothers Marcel and Bruno Muller take over Wagner Dental later this month.
“Our focus remains on meeting our patients and delivering the best dental care,” Marcel said.
“Wagner Dental is a well established practice in the community, with a great reputation and loyal patient base.
“Bruno and I have personally known Michael for about eight years and share common values and treatment philosophy with him.
“Wagner Dental has always been a family business and we definitely want to continue that legacy.
“For many years it has been our hope that one day, as brothers, we could work together and build something with our families. This is the perfect opportunity.”
The three dentists have more than 50 years’ experience between them.
Marcel and Bruno grew up in Coffs Harbour on a small stone fruit and cattle farm.
Outside of work, they enjoy spending time with their families.
“I was always interested in dentistry, from early high school onwards,” Dr Muller said.
“It’s a hands-on and detailed profession, which is what I enjoy.”
But whereas Bruno went straight into dentistry, (graduating from Griffith University) Marcel initially graduated as a veterinary surgeon from the University of Queensland.
“I worked as a veterinary surgeon for a while, however, I never lost my interest in dentistry; Bruno eventually influenced me into the job,” Dr Muller said.
So Marcel returned to his alma mater, this time to study dentistry, graduating with first class honours.
“I’m absolutely loving dentistry,” Marcel said.
“I enjoy helping people, many of whom may feel anxious about their teeth.”
Bruno said it was exciting to be working alongside his brother.
“Together we are able to deliver an extensive range of dental services and we share the same goal of providing quality dental care customised to everyone’s individual needs,” he said.
Jonathan said he was looking forward to extending his “family”.
He has owned the practice for the past 32 years, having bought it in 1986 from Ken Speedy.
“I’d like to thank the community for the support they have given Michael and I over all these years,” Dr Wagner snr said. “The practice is in good hands and I will remain at the surgery for a while longer.”
