The Beaudesert State School is holding an information session on Wednesday for the parents of children who are entering Prep next year.

Deputy principal Elizabeth Watt said the session was part of the school’s Ready Set Prep program which aimed to prepare families who had a child making the transition from kindergarten or daycare next year.

“Parents, it’s getting close to that time of year again when we start our Ready Set Prep program for families who have a little one starting Prep in 2019,” she said.

“Our first event will be our Introduction to Prep session for parents, being held on Wednesday, October 17, commencing at 3.15pm.”

There will be some activities to keep young children occupied during this session.

In coming weeks, parents or carers, and children commencing Prep next year will be able to visit the Prep classrooms, library and music room, attend the junior assembly, and spend some time with the students currently in Prep, who are excited to buddy up with the new children.
