Police investigate after car crashes into Warrill Creek at Frazerview

Investigations continue into a crash at Frazerview which saw a car end up in a creek and a 56-year-old Nambour man suffer significant injuries.

The incident occurred at about 12.30am on Saturday on the Cunningham Highway at Frazerview.

Police said the man’s vehicle left the highway, overturned and finished about 100 metres down the embankment partially submerged in Warrill Creek.

He removed himself from the car and bystanders helped him ascend halfway up the embankment before a Queensland Fire and Emergency Services crew assisted him the rest of the way up a steep incline to the road.

The man sustained lacerations, abrasions and pain.

The Queensland Ambulance Service took him to the Ipswich General Hospital in a stable condition.
