Alpacas dressed in pink will grace O’Reilly’s Vineyard this Sunday to raise money for a worthy cause.
Following last year’s success, the second annual Pink Alpaca Picnic is to be held from 12.30pm – 3.30pm.
Organiser Jenny Pack of Mountview Alpaca Farm said the event was part of Turning Canungra Pink and all funds went towards cancer research and supporting local families who had been touched by the life-threatening disease.
“It’s supporting a good cause,” she said.
“It’s not about promoting us, it’s more about involving the community.
“It’s also a great opportunity to network and socialise with other Scenic Rim residents.”
Mrs Pack said a lot of effort had been made to ensure the afternoon was enjoyed by all, with the alpaca and toy duck races expected to be highlights again.
She said attendees could also win prizes in the raffles and feast on a gourmet hamper containing classical picnic fare.
The cost is $35 per adult and $15 for children.
If you would like to attend, booking is essential.
