COFFEE lovers gathered in town Thursday to catch up with friends for a spot of lunch and a good chat.
Talk of the town was the downpour the previous afternoon that many hoped would see an end to the dry season and provide some relief to local farmers.
Everydays cafe was busy, with customers taking the opportunity for an al fresco experience in the gardem area and children enjoying the first week of school holidays with family and friends.
Although weather predictions suggested that indoor activities might be the best option for coming days, most were pleased with the forecast and happy to trade stories about Wednesday’s hail storm.
The Bureau of Meteorology has forecast showers and gusty storms until Sunday afternoon signaling an early start to storm season.
