Public assists arrest

A 32-year-old Boonah man has been charged with high level drink driving thanks to some quick acting locals.

Police praised citizens who promptly reported a crash which occurred at about 7.15pm on September 11 on Dover Street at Boonah. The man was also fined for driving an unregistered vehicle, driving unaccompanied on a learner’s licence and failing to display L plates. He was bailed to face the Ipswich Magistrates Court on October 2 where police will allege a blood alcohol reading of 0.236 per cent.
