Police combine to conduct operation on Scenic Rim roads

Police performed more than 500 random breath tests and issued a total of 50 fines during a joint operation across the Beaudesert and Fassifern Districts on the weekend of September 8 and 9.

Fassifern Police co-ordinated with the Road Policing Command and officers from Beaudesert to conduct the operation.

Police said infringement notices related to speed, vehicle registration, illegal vehicle modifications and several other offences.

A 53-year-old Runcorn man faces a charge of drink driving after police stopped him on the Mount Lindesay Highway at Beaudesert. 

He will front the Beaudesert Magistrates Court on October 2 where a blood alcohol reading of 0.14 per cent will be alleged.

A Beaudesert man, 45, has been charged with drink driving after police stopped him on Brisbane Street on September 8 at 11.30pm. He will attend Beaudesert Magistrates Court on October 2 where police will allege a blood alcohol reading of 0.131 per cent.
