THE ZONTA Club of Beaudesert is planning a fashion parade and high tea in a country garden as part of their fundraising efforts to support women and girls overseas and at home.

The event will take place at 36 Brolga Road, Beaudesert on September 15 between 2pm and 5pm.

Zonta Beaudesert president Denise Martin said last year’s event was a success, with more than 50 people turning up to support the cause, with even more expected to join in the fun.

“We are having a fashion show again, courtesy of Dale Venz from Dolly’s Boutique,” she said.

“And this year we will be holding it in the lovely country garden of Robyn and John Powell.”

Ms Martin said they had no specific fundraising goal for the day.

“The money goes into our fundraising account and about March each year we decide where it will be spent,” she said.

“One third gets sent to Zonta International to support our fabulous projects overseas.

“Two thirds is spent in our community helping women and girls in need.”

Tickets for the event are available from Dolly’s Boutique in Beaudesert Fair or by contacting Denis Martin on 0419 348 466.

Cost is $30, which includes your first glass of bubbly or punch.
