Beaudesert Pony Club hold working bee to prepare for coming season

MEMBERS of Beaudesert Pony Club put their muscles where their mouths are by turning up this morning to spend a day of painting jump rails at the showgrounds.

Club President Kathy Teese said they were preparing for an event in August expected to attract competitors from as far away as Toowoomba, the Sunshine Coast and Northern NSW.

She said they were grateful for support from local businesses.

‘The jump rails are brand new and were donated by Beaudesert Funerals,” she said.

“We are using Taubman’s paint donated by Mitre 10 and one of our parents, Jim Carey is a commercial painter and took a day off work to help us get the job done right.”

The 16 children and several parents managed to paint all 20 rails and the club is now ready to welcome visitors for the show jumping season.
