The Beaudesert Rangers paid tribute to the late Neville Heit on the weekend with all of the club’s senior teams donning black armbands during matches.

Mr Heit, who owned Heit’s Butcher in Beaudesert,  was a supporter of the club for many years, sponsoring teams when his sons were playing and donating sausages for fundraisers in recent seasons.

The Beaudesert Soccer Club and its members wish to pass on their condolences to the family.

Official fundraising coordinator Nicole Teese said the Heit family have been entrenched within the Beaudesert community for a long time.

“They’re very generous,” she said.

“They always help out in some way.

“The whole town will miss him.”

The funeral is to be held on Friday July 13 at the Beaudesert Baptist Church.
