High range speeding and meat theft in Beaudesert

A 26-YEAR-OLD man was issued an infringement notice for high end speeding after he was allegedly caught speeding almost two times over the limit at Warrill View.

The Rosenthal Heights man was stopped by a police patrol at 5.35 pm on the Cunningham Highway on Thursday.

A speed of 121km/h in a 70km/h zone will be alleged.

Police said the man was facing an automatic six months suspension of his driver’s licence due to the offence.

Woman charged for theft

A Kooralbyn woman was charged with stealing meat products from Beaudesert’s Aldi store after police found her on Brisbane Street with the goods.

Police said she was arrested at a traffic stop with the items on June 11.
