FIREFIGHTERES were called twice to the same address at Beaudesert when a large gum tree fire was reignited after a permit burn at Beaudesert.
One crew was called to Jane Street just before 10pm on Wednesday night about the incident, which took about 30 minutes to control.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokesman said the crew left and returned at 4am on Thursday after reports of the same tree was alight for the second time.
“It could have been the embers that may have reignited,” he said.
“The owners have done the correct thing to call us straight away once they saw the permit burn was escaping and the gum tree was burning.”
