CATTLE farmers can learn ways to improve the profitability of their cattle enterprise at a free workshop at Oaky Creek.
The event organised by Healthy Land and Water will be held from 9am to 4.30pm on May 31 at 278 Oaky Creek Road with Victorian beef farmer Graham Hand leading the workshop.
Mr Hand, an expert in soil health and cover cropping, will explore topics such as assessing soil health, reducing costs and risks and planning and infrastructure required for grazing.
He will also talk about regenerating pasture, improving animal health at a profit, identifying and addressing cover crop and designing an effective cover crop.
Healthy Land and Water are inviting all landholders and graziers with an interest in improving production, land condition and profitability.
Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be provided.
