Gleneagle tip-off leads to man charged for string of offences

AN Eagleby man has been charged with a string of offences in relation to drugs, tainted property and driving.

Beaudesert police were called to Phoebe Way at Gleneagle on Monday after receiving reports of two suspicious men entering a house garage between 3pm and 4pm.

Police alleged they found the 29-year-old and a 24-year-old Park Ridge South man with drugs and drug utensils.

One of the vehicles the man was driving is alleged to have had New South Wales plates that had been reported stolen from Ipswich in February.

Logan Crime Investigation Branch officers questioned the men in relation to previous offences.

The Eagleby man was charged with two counts of receiving tainted property and one count each of driving without licence, failing to stop a motor vehicle, possession of utensil, drugs and material used in commission of a crime.

He will appear at Beaudesert Magistrates Court on May 1.

The Park Ridge South man is assisting police with inquiries.
