Beaudesert came alive for Christmas carols in the park

JUBILEE Park was packed to capacity with families who turned up with chairs and picnic rugs to settle in for a good old-fashioned Christmas carol sing-along in Jubilee Park.

The event was opened by Councillor Michael Enright followed by a scripture reading by Pastor Josh Cocks from the Beaudesert Baptist Church.

Everyone was feeling the Christmas cheer as children waved their glow sticks and parents enjoyed performances by BAMS, A-Choired Taste, Tiffany Kuiper, Jessica Holbrook, Bec Teese and many more.

The Yugambeh Youth Choir, comprised of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander performers, presented two songs in English and Yugambeh language.

The Christmas Carols were a resounding success, creating happy memories for the people of Beaudesert.

The carol service has been a tradition in Beaudesert for more than 50 years and has always been held on the first Wednesday of December.

This year’s event was hosted by the Rotary Club of Beaudesert.
