The holiday fun has already started for Beaudesert children as the annual Santa hunt is well and truly underway.
Finella Loch and her Beaudesert Christmas Spirit group have arranged for 26 tiny knitted Santas to be concealed in plain sight around town.
Ms Loch said the idea was for children to locate the Santas, some of which were hidden in shop windows or somewhere within a store, and then find an employee to stamp their entry form to show they had found a Santa.
“We ran out of forms at Light up Beaudesert but there are more available at the council office or local library,” she said.
“The kids are already on the lookout and one little girl told me she already knows where three of them are.”
Ms Loch said when a child’s form had 26 stamps for the 26 different Santas, it could then be placed in the red box near the Christmas tree for the chance to win a Christmas treat.
“We are reminding kids to thank the shop owners and employees for stamping their forms, which should be in the box by 6pm on December 21 when the competition closes,” she said.
