THE Tommerup family is spreading the festive spirit as they prepare to welcome the community to their Christmas on the Farm event.
Guests can spend the afternoon on November 25 playing games in the paddock, meet Scenic Rim producers and take a dip in the river from 3pm to 7pm.
Feed animals, join guided farm tours and browse the market stalls to stock up on unique Christmas gifts and delicacies for the season.
Kay Tommerup said preparations had already begun on the farm, including creating handmade tree decorations, firing up the Bedford truck and washing the tractor for Santa photos.
She said the day would celebrate Christmas while spreading the message of buying local and raising awareness about the agricultural industry.
“Taste gourmet treats from Scenic Rim farmers and producers and while away the afternoon relaxing under the shade of the big old blue gum trees,” she said.
“Even the adults will want to join in the fun with tug of war, gumboot throwing and loads more games in the paddock.”
Ms Tommerup said the farm was not far from Darlington State School for those voting at the polling booths and welcomed people to drop by at the farm.
Entry costs $5.50.
