Scenic Rim performers are being invited to participate in a unique musical and theatrical celebration offering individuals an opportunity to find their own creative voice.

Queensland In Voice: Cabaret Intensive offers local performers the opportunity to work with an award-winning creative team to develop a short cabaret idea for inclusion in a unique musical and theatrical celebration.

Participants will be invited to explore and develop their own ideas by participating in three workshops with three of the industry’s leading lights.

The talented trio are creative producer Alison St.Ledger, co-artistic director of Queensland Cabaret Festival, director Lewis Jones, who has more than 50 productions to his credit, and musical director Sue Porter, musical director with decades of experience, including as musical director of the national touring production of Menopause – the Musical.

Those wishing to take part in the program can email the creative team at thecentre@scenicrim.qld.gov.au outlining their previous experience and their two best ideas. Submissions close on May 11.
