MORE than 3000 people packed into Beaudesert Race Course on Friday for the annual Anzac Day Races.
Race course general manager Lisa Hartney said it was the biggest Anzac Day Races crowd in seven years.
Visitors came from across south-east Queensland to enjoy the festivities, donning their finest dresses and suits for the occasion.
Short hemlines and over-sized hats were the trademark of the day for the women and hats and suspenders were popular among men.
There were seven races in total, with revellers staying on until late in the day to cheer them on before heading to celebrations after the races in Beaudesert.
The winning horses were: Russian Lace (race one), No Win No Wine (race two), I’m Chillin’ (race three), Rock of Diamonds (race four), Tigerprint (race five), Execute At Dawn (race six) and Faultless Dancer (race seven).
