Cows, calves hit $1860 at Beaudesert sale

Agents Bartholomew & Co reported a yarding of 560 head of cattle at their Beaudesert Store Sale on Saturday. 

A top quality line-up of cows and calves met strong competition from both local and travelled buyers. 

Lines of weaner steers and heifers sold above vendors’ expectations with plenty of potential buyers going home without cattle.  Feeder steers were in demand selling to a dearer market.

AJ Bush & Sons, Bromelton sold Droughtmaster steers 18 months for $1370.  Charbray steers 18 months account David and Sharon Bruce, Tamborine sold for $1330. 

Brangus steers 15 months account Frank and Tina Browne, Moogerah sold for $1055 and  Euro x steers 12 months account John and Donna Mounsey, Moogerah sold for $955. 

Paul Benstead, Christmas Creek sold Euro x steers 12 months for $970 while  AJ Bush & Sons sold Droughtmaster weaner steers for $965.

Limousin weaner steers account Jon Stiller & Co, Allenview sold for $945 and John and Donna Mounsey sold Droughtmaster weaner steers for $850. 

Kent Ferguson, Woolooman sold Droughtmaster weaner heifers 15 months for $1160 while Droughtmaster x heifers 15 months account Ray and Diane Bruxner, Laravale sold for $1110. 

Mitchell Wagner, Boonah, sold Charbray heifers 14 months for $1050 and  Limousin heifers 12 months account Jon Stiller & Co sold for $900. 

Ben and Jemma King, Boonah sold Charbray heifers 10 months for $850 Michael Oehlmann sold Droughtmaster weaner heifers for $795. 

Droughtmaster weaner heifers account David and Annette Kassulke sold for $720.  Kerry and Marg Wruck, Maroon sold Charbray cows and calves for $1,700.  Paradise Creek Pastoral Co, Townson sold Limousin cows and calves for $1,860.
