Former Beaudesert and District Cricket Club player Hamish Tilney, 17, has been called upon to take up the scoring duties for important cricket matches.

Tilney is a volunteer scorer for the Queensland Cricket Scorers’ Association, a student of Beaudesert State High School and past Beaudesert Cricket Club player who is attached to the Gold Coast Dolphins Cricket Club. He scores each Saturday for the Dolphins’ second grade team in the Brisbane Grade Premier League.

He has filled in for first grade on occasions when those scorers were doing Queensland and Australian duties.

Last month he scored a match between Scotland and Auckland at Robina on the Gold Coast.
