SMOOTH tunes strummed by famed guitarist and producer Louie Shelton will delight at the Scenic Rim Baha’i community’s three day gathering.

A group spokesperson said Mr Shelton, who lives at the Gold Coast, would perform from 7pm on Saturday, September 30, at Boonah’s The Outlook.

Mr Shelton, who was inducted into Nashville’s Musicians Hall of Fame in 2007, has performed signature guitar riffs in countless songs, including in Boz Scaggs’ Low Down, Lionel Richie’s Hello, Neil Diamond’s Play Me and The Jackson Five’s I Want You Back.

His concert will take place the first evening of the Scenic Rim Baha’i community’s event, called “Family – The Building Block of the Community”, which will be held through to Monday, October 2.

Group spokesman Moein Varaei said devotional gatherings, outdoor activities including bush walks and musical entertainment were organised to help celebrate the faith’s establishment.

“The Baha’i Community is looking forward to sharing a very interesting and enjoyable weekend with visitors and friends as part of the 200th Anniversary Celebration of the birth of Baha’u’llah, the Prophet and Founder of the Baha’i Faith and His Forerunner, the Bab,” he said.

Mr  Varaei said everyone was invited to attend the three-day event, including those interested only in Mr Shelton’s concert.

To register, visit bahaispringschool.org.

Those wanting to attend only Mr Shelton’s performance should phone Aaron on 0433 137 766.

The Outlook is at 4001 Ipswich-Boonah Road.
