QUEENSLAND Ballet is set to keep Scenic Rim seniors on their toes this month with a series of dance workshops.

Back by popular demand, the Queensland Ballet's special Seniors Week event for the young-at-heart will celebrate what it means to be an active older adult making the most of life.

The first session, Ballet for Seniors, will begin from 10am to 11.15am followed by Ballet Repertoire from 11.30 to midday at The Centre Beaudesert.

Seniors can register for one or all of the free classes on Tuesday, August 22.

The first session from 10am to 11.15am is Ballet for Seniors followed by Ballet Repertoire from 11.30am to midday.

A complimentary lunch at 12.30pm will be held after a Question and Answer session with Queensland Ballet artistic representatives.

The Dance for Parkinson's Disease, a specialised class for those affected, at 1pm is based on extensive medical, health and movement research.

Light refreshments will be available at 2pm before Zumba Gold begins, an upbeat way to keep fit in step with South American rhythms.

For more information or to register, go to The Centre Beaudesert website or call 5540 5050.
