Beaudesert Kingfishers junior match reports

Under 7s

The Dylete Mowing under 7s travelled to Parkwood today to face the Sharks.

The last few games have been a bit scratchy, but the team of little men came together today and all did their bit. It was great to see the whole side enjoying their footy, and enjoying each other's achievements on the field.

Their coach said they are a great bunch of boys, and have been a pleasure to coach and manage.

The team also wanted to say thanks so much to their sponsors at Dylete Mowing, they really appreciated your support.

Don't forget our break up is next Thursday afternoon.

Under 9s

The Rabar under 9s Blue team travelled to Burleigh on Saturday for their last round of 2017.

Burleigh's attack was no match for the Kingies defence.

The team implemented the skills and discipline that they have been taught throughout the year and coaching staff look forward to seeing them play through the grades of Kingfishers over the next few years.

The man of the match awards were chosen by the team this week and went to Ben Blyton and Ryder Tyson.

Try scorers were Spencer Kummerow (3), William Hamblin (2), Ryder Tyson, Clancy Hardy and Ben Blyton all scoring one.

Under 13s Div 2

The Under 13s finished strong in their last fixture round in one of their most toughest game against a fourth placed Helensvale.

The Hornets had done their homework and had the Kingies covered at first, but once Beaudesert crossed the line once they got on a roll to wrap up the game, recording a great win 38-4.

Tries went to Gus (3), Saxon (2), Kai and Hunter

Goals were kicked by Kane (4,) Jayden (1), and Shane (1).

Under 14s Div 3

The Learoyd Digger under 14s travelled to Mudgeeraba for a first versus second match-up. The Kingfishers went in very much under strengthened for this game.

Beaudesert started off well making plenty of ground on the edges.

But the Kingies seemed to lose their way and their intensity as the game went on.

A lack of urgency cost Beaudesert and the game got away from them.

The Kingies will regroup and get another crack at them in two weeks.

The coach said the team now looked forward to a hard week at training ahead and thanked his players for the effort, reminding them they are still in the hunt following the 32-6 loss.
