Dail Platz will perform the hits of Johnny Cash when he comes to the Beaudesert RSL at 2pm on Sunday, July 30.
Platz’s resemblance to Cash extend to his voice, which gives justice to the depth of vocals of the legendary performer.
Platz offers a unique stage show which is among the most popular showscurrently touring Australia.
Canadian born Platz is an international artist who performed in honky tonks and bars of North America for many years before making the move to Australia. A multi-instrumentalist Dail is at home on guitar, fiddle, mandolin and banjo.
He has performed tribute shows to Alan Jackson and Willie Nelson and brings meticulous research into Cash to arrive at his unique format.
What is unique to this Show is the faithful reproduction of Cash's great songs and the authentic Cash sound.
Cash began his recording career in 1955, recording almost 1500 songs over 470 albums.
He put 48 singles on the billboard Hot 100 pop charts, one more than the Rolling Stones. He placed 26 albums on the pop charts between 1955 and 1972, the same number as the Beatles during that span.
He is one of the few people in history to sell more than 50 million records.
A highlight is Dail's impersonation, both vocally and instrumentally, of the legendary Willie Nelson.
