Stronger Scenic Rim with Stronger Communities Program
Calling all Scenic Rim community groups.
Nominations are being sought for worthwhile local projects as part of round three of the Stronger Communities Program.
Grants of between $2,500 and $20,000 are available to meet up to 50% of the costs of small capital projects. There is a pre-application process and strict criteria apply.
Please start this nomination process by calling my office for a preliminary nomination form. A local consultation panel will then consider all proposals and selected projects will then be invited to formally apply
This is a great opportunity for the federal government to support our local community and I encourage community organisations and sporting clubs in the Scenic Rim to apply now.

National Disability Awards
Do you know a local individual, team, organisation or service provider that has improved the lives of locals with disability and contributed to increased recognition of equality and human rights for all Australians?
Nominations for the 2017 National Disability Awards are open now.
The awards seek to highlight the achievements in reducing social discrimination and to bring positive changes for people with disability.
Amazing programs and projects are being produced every day to enrich local’s lives and it’s extremely important we recognise people with disability and those who work to support them in the community.
Locals helping people with disability to be seen for their ability are encouraged to apply for the Awards before August 6 2017.
For more information and to apply, visit: http://www.idpwd.com.au/awards/guidelines/.
As always, if I can be of assistance with any federal matter, please feel free to call my office on 5541 0150.
