The Beaudesert Kingfishers have stamped their authority on the Doug Lipp Cup, keeping second placed Tugun scoreless in a top of the table clash at Willis Park on Saturday.

The home side were determined to avenge their round three loss and did not waste any time getting points on the board with Sam Gee crossing twice to have the Kingfishers up by 12 at half time.

As the second half started the rain began to fall and the intensity of the Beaudesert defence in the wet denied Tugun the chance to get on the scoreboard.

Dylan Hughes crossed to seal the victory, as Keith Gee’s men triumphed 16 - 0.

Anthony Kerwin was awarded the man of the match. The win moves Beaudesert four points clear at the top of the table. Next week they travel to Southport to play the fifth placed Tigers.

Anthony Kerwin was named man of the match in Beaudesert's win.
