The Beaudesert Kingfishers will fine tune their preparations for the upcoming season with their final trial match this weekend.

In a logistical nightmare, Beaudesert’s three senior teams will face opponents across the breadth of the Gold Coast on Saturday.

The reserve grade side will travel to Coomera to face the Cutters at 3.10pm, the second grade team will play Coolangatta at Helensvale at 1.10pm and the under-19 side will play Runaway Bay at Mudgereeba at 11am.

The senior teams will be looking to bounce back after earlier trial losses to Beenleigh and a mixed showing at the Runaway Bay Nines competition a fortnight ago.

Round one of the 2017 season will kick off on April 8 and while the draw is yet to be released, the Kingfishers are expected to host Burleigh in a rematch of last year's grand final.
