Teachers to strike

More than 37,000 Queensland state school teachers and administrators will take part in the 24-hour strike, after a ballot by the Queensland Teachers Union (QTU) showed 91 per cent in favour of the action.Queensland Education and Training Minister Geoff Wilson said despite the strike, all Queensland state schools would remain open on May 19. |
