Vandals hit project

The project’s start was marred last week when vandals etched several sections of the newly laid concrete.But enthusiasm for the project continues. A spokesman for the sub-contractor said vandals had graffitied the path after 6pm and before 7am on April 21. “The cement wasn’t even down 24 hours,” he said. “We’ve got a security officer now.” A council spokesman said council was disappointed in the vandalism. “This project is for the benefit of the community and it is disheartening to see someone disregard the hard work of all involved,” he said. |
