Man rushed to hospital
3 April 2009
One of the drivers, a 52-year-old man, had to be removed from the car using roadside crash rescue equipment.
He was airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Beaudesert Auxiliary Fire Brigade captain Trevor Kerrison said due to the man’s injuries, the vehicle’s door needed to be removed.
“It was difficult because the vehicle had sustained a fair bit of impact and the patient needed extricating through the door opening because of the injuries he sustained,” he said.
“We were working with Queensland Ambulance Services for the best possible result for the patient.”
The two men driving the other vehicles involved were taken to Beaudesert Hospital.
