Lucky escape for bub

Ruboo Chisholme’s four-year-old brother Rohaan raised the alarm, shouting “fire” to his mother in another room.
Mother Ione Chisholme was visibly shaken as she described making her way through the thick black smoke using her sons cries to guide her.
“I couldn’t see into the room,”?Ms Chisholme said.
“I?just went in to where he was screaming and got him.”
Smoke poured from the roof of the Cedar Vale house as firefighters from Jimboomba, West Logan, Beaudesert and Woodhill arrived on the scene.
An ambulance officer on the scene said Ruboo’s smoke inhalation was minor but he was taken to hospital as a precaution. |
