More strikes likely
29 October 2008
More than 50 schools were affected by the stopwork meetings when, according to the Queensland Teachers’ Union (QTU), nearly 99 per cent of teachers voted to repeat the action in term one, 2009, if the State Government did not come to the negotiation table. QTU president Steve Ryan attended meetings at Flagstone State Community College on Tuesday and Greenbank State School on Wednesday and said they were well attended. “The meetings have expressed frustration and anger that the State Government is not listening,” Mr Ryan said.
